Museum Milavida
Museum Milavida is a cultural history museum opened in 2015, located in Näsinpuisto park, Tampere. Alongside the Museum Centre Vapriikki and the Amuri – Museum of Workers’ Housing Museum Milavida is one of Tampere’s historical museums.
The museum’s permanent main exhibition, The Nottbecks – Cosmopolitans of Tampere, tells the story of the luxurious life of the Nottbeck family, who commissioned the Milavida palace. The changing exhibitions explore themes related to fashion and design, drawing on both the museum’s own collections and international exhibition collaborations. A wide range of events complements the exhibitions.
Milavida is an urban palace completed in 1898. Its original name is Milavida, though the building is also known as Näsilinna.
